One Year Later

Well, I have been seriously slacking on the blog front! It’s been a year since I’ve posted something! I became rejuvenated in my efforts after attending a family function for my boyfriends cousin where a few girls informed me that they successfully stalked me on Facebook and came across this blog. They thought it was great (aw, schucks!) and encouraged me to post some more stuff out there. So here I am, one year later, retrying.

This week I’ll talk about my current makeup obsession – brushes.

Often overlooked, brushes are pretty important to a good application. Cheap brushes can sometimes just push product around or wipe it off completely. Some leave streaky messes, some fray, and some sadly go bald. My advice is to spend the money and get a good, natural bristled brush. The softer the better, it just feels nice. Here are some personal favorites I use every day:

NARS – Brow Shader Brush ($21.00)
used for brow shading, duh

MAC – 266 Small Angle Brush ($19.50)
used for eyeliner (gel liner or eyeshadow-turned-liners)

MAC – 188 Small Duo Fibre Face Brush ($34.00)
used to apply liquid foundations

Again, these are just my basic, go-to brushes that I use no matter what. I have about 6 or 7 eyeshadow brushes that vary depending on what look I’m going for. Maybe you’ll get the deets on those next week 😉
